Changing this game we call Interior Design.

I’m an interior designer… One who has worked in the industry for 10+ years.  I’ve worked for numerous companies over the years who price with large sum fees or hourly rates where the client has no idea how much the bill is going to be.

I’ve felt my clients pain, knowing there would be a lot of time involved to do the job, but not being able to give them an accurate idea of price.  Let’s not even talk about variations and other hidden costs that often pop up.

So, I’ve decided to change the game.  Well at least as far as my clients and projects are concerned.

It’s time to make things easier, why does it need to be so difficult?  At the end of the day most homes have the same spaces plus some awesome added extras.  Have you seen a home these days that doesn’t have a kitchen?

It’s time to be transparent and

offer some certainty of cost.

Why am I doing this? Well, because I can, and why not?

I want to deliver more value to my clients.  I want them to focus on the fun stuff like design and stop stressing about what the monthly invoice is going to look like.

If you want to email me in the middle of the night then hey do it.  You may not get a response right away as hopefully I’ll be asleep, but you’ll definitely get one, and it won’t be added on to your monthly invoice!

Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to know there’s another way.

I’m ignoring the ‘old’ way of doing things – hourly rates, fee proposals with variations, estimations of time – and adapting a new way.  A three stage process thats simple and easy to understand.  Certainty of cost from the start.  This makes life easier for all of us.

The world is changing and the old methods of doing things are heading out the door.

A new breed of interior designer has emerged!

If you want to stick with the old way, go for it.  But if you want certainty of cost and full transparency then come on over to the bright side.

All you need is a house, a project and a good attitude.
